Thanks, anything to stress test with though?
No, I just use mine and don't bother with tests that have nothing to do with my actual daily use.

Have you set up your Gmail account for IMAP access?

There is a ton of information about setting up Apple Mail with Gmail out there on the interwebs. Try Google if you have specific questions. I'm sure it's been asked before.

Hi,
Here is the problem:
I received my Powermac Quad today. The shop already installed 4 gb extra memory. (4x 1gb DDR2 Kingston).
When I started the computer for the first time, it went through al the setup screen, but the system "hang" on the last screen where I entered my personal information. After restarting the system, OSX came up.
I checked the system info and saw that the system only had 4 gb installed. The first slot of up and down where both empty. I checked inside, and saw that there ARE indeed the standard memory sims in there. ( 2 x 512 mb). They are not recognized by the system though.
There are 3 sims in the upper slots and 3 sims down, like it it is supposed to be ?!
Does anyone know what is going on here?
Kind Regards, Jochem

Heads up, mall security is not letting people bring chairs due to fire code. At first they weren't even letting people sit on the floor but are now. Pretty dumb in my opinion.

iOS 4.3.3 is better than 4.3.2 for me in regards to battery life. I've even re-JB my iP4, and the battery life has remained pretty decent so far...

Unfortunately, that will only pump songs to my iDevice within my LAN.
So... this is not a good solution because I want to be able to access my entire itunes library on the go. I hope the rumors are true and iTunes is gonna flippin use its data center for once and supply people their music on the go with just a 3G connection

At first we had to code our own getters and setters. There was no concept of a property in Objective-C 1.0, except by the convention that if a class had a method x and a method setX: then it could have been said to have property x.
Then Apple created Objective-C 2.0 and it introduced the @property and @synthesise directives, as well as the dot notation. And the number of getters and setters we had to write was reduced to near zero. And our getters and setters become correct in the face of concurrency (assuming no nonatomic) which set us up well for the days of multicore CPUs and GCD.
And the people programming in the land of Apple were happy. (Well generally, some have some valid objections to dot notation).
So yeah, it's just syntax. But I'd highly recommend you use it, unless you have strong reasons not to.

I'd say at least $400 (since the new ones are out), but these you can unlock and it's not like your going to make the buyer sign a cell phone contract. :p

You will be able to do that, it just doesn't like to stay awake unless a keyboard or mouse is there, or if it isn't plugged into the wall. It may also require the display to be plugged in.

Yeah U of A's bookstore will be selling it for $69 on launch night only, 6-7PM Friday night. I'll be going there now instead of the Apple store too lol. They're also offering free tshirts to the first 50 people and say that they will be doing leopard demostrations as well.

Yeah Outlook 2011 won't work (the way you want it to work) with Exchange versions older then so your out of luck I'm afraid, unless you want to do pop3 or IMAP.

never used those before but
if you are at home, there shouldnt be much lag
if you use something like a sling box, it depends on your updload rate of your home internet connection, but it also lets you watch TV away from your house
I only watch recorded TV, I have a PC with a TV tuner that records, then I connect my macbook pro to it on the home network, GO->connect to server
so I can watch stuff I missed
I use VLC player to watch the windows 7 dtv files

Those type of settings are typically part of a printer driver. I am assuming your home printer and school printer are different, that could be your problem.
As a start, what printer is at home, and what is at school (ie if you have an HP printer at home, missing the Epson page setup is unsurprising).

The Mini has 8gb RAM from OWC but I was under the impression that Mac OS easily used all of the 8gb in 32 bit mode and you would have to have somewhere around 32gb for it to benefit you to run in 6 bit mode.

Had a few friends over last night, played some music on my 5.1 set up and this morning I turn it all on to play some tunes and one of my inwall speakers is buzzing and "hissing" horribly. I was thinking of taking a video but what do you guys think? Can i fix this by myself? Is it ruined for good? If I have to replace how can I be sure the new speaker won't be louder than the others? I'm pretty sure the speaker is out of warranty by JBL.
