I read about some new F@H developments this morning on slashdot.

Our code will run on R520's, but considerably more slowly than R580. We're very much looking forward to trying out R600's."

PhotoBooth and QT Player can record via the iSight, though I don't know about brightness settings.

According to the App Store, iMovie requires iOS 4.2.6 or later. So your iPad with 4.2.1 might not work.

I have been playing the game on my Mac Pro (with X1900) for a few days and it run very smoothly with all details (with Boot Camp under Win XP).

*i am* not actually selling this on MR, but a friend of mine wanted to know what a fair asking price for this would be. given it's two years old and its battery life is not what it used to be, what would a good price be? i figured my smart mac friends would know, even though this IS MR lol. thanks in advance.

I've got a wired Mighty Mouse I have no need for. It's barely used, which means the scroll ball is very clean. I'm looking to sell this for $20 shipped. I accept PayPal and will ship to the lower 28 states in the US. If you want me to ship it elsewhere, you will need to cover the extra expenses.

Honestly, this looks very fake. I watched the "proof" video before the actual filming. I still dont believe it.

But the song is awesome. Must be a really big fan. Wouldve took me years to make that.

And the guy behind him in the video looks terrifying!

I have an anti-virus program running for several hours and the only way to keep it going is to disable the sleep mode. I also have Windows 7 through VMware, and the virus program checks this OS in particular for virus problems.

I have been able to disable the Mac screen saver but not the Mac sleep mode.
I'm not sure if this can be done, and as a result, the virus program stops working when the computer is in sleep mode.

Well, unfortunately my iphone 4 died on me last night and became stuck in recovery mode and I've tried every fix I could find via Google, Apple Support, and this forum, to no avail. So, I have no choice but to take it to a genius bar at the local Apple Store. However, I have a first gen iPhone that still works fine and I was wondering if there's any way I can switch my iPhone 4 account to that phone until I'm able to get my iPhone 4 repaired. Or am I just SOL and will have to wait it out?

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

I use mine as an HTPC and home server. Its been on 24/7 since last July I think is when I bought it and have not turned it off, other than a couple of automatic reboots when updating the OS. I wouldnt hesitate at all - it runs cool and very quiet. Just be sure to keep it well ventilated and dont stack anything on it.

I've gone through many of these forums and solutions for this problem but none of them have worked. My internal speakers stopped working and this has happened before but it was solved by the easy-peasy headphone trick that is popular on those forums. But now it doesn't work. I've actually done it maybe a dozen times and it still doesn't work. I'm starting to think it's because my cat spilled water on it but I still don't think that's the case because this problem has happened before. I've tried restarting the computer and looking at the system preferences. The internal speakers don't even come up as an option on the output. Can someone help?

Hi,

I've installed Parallels on my Air and I am running Windows 7, everything seems to be working fine.

If I wanted to run Windows 7 on Bootcamp, would I have to reinstall Windows 7 or can I just follow instructions on Bootcamp and it'll automatically detect that I have Windows?

You'll have to install it through bootcamp, bootcamp partitions it separately from os x

O.K. I might be wildly speculating, but I can't get into .Mac using mail or the web. Could apple be updating something to finally become competitive with what they offer in a .Mac account?!?! :eek:


Let's hope so, otherwise I just can't access email and that stinks.

I'm looking at picking up a Mac Mini as a HTPC and dropping cable, but then I realized my 42" plasma only supports 1024x768 resolution.

I'm guessing this won't exactly be optimal, so I'm weighing whether to get a better tv. I don't really want to have to spend the extra money on a new set, so I'm hoping I could get some opinions as to how dismal the experience will be with my current set up.
